Euphorbia characias Portuguese Velvet

Clusters of dark-eyed, bright greenish-yellow flowers. Bushy and compact.

Flowering period:  Early spring to early summer.
Growing conditions:  Well-drained soil in full sun.
Special note:  Always wear gloves when working with euphorbias. The milky sap is a skin irritant. Cut back dead flowering stems in autumn.
Typical mature height:  24 inches ( 61 cms )
Hardiness:  Hardy. Should withstand average to cold UK winters.
