Chicory. Tall stems with long branched spikes of rose-pink flowers over a long period. Middle or back of border.

Flowering period:  Mid to late summer.
Growing conditions:  Sunny, open position in poor, free-draining soil.
Typical mature height:  36 inches ( 91 cms )
Hardiness:  Hardy. Should withstand average to cold UK winters.
